X-Men: Days Of Future Past (3D) (12A)

The ultimate X-Men ensemble fights a war for the survival of the species across two time periods in X-Men: Days of Future Past.

The X-Men send Wolverine to the past in a desperate effort to change history and prevent an event that results in doom for both humans and mutants.
IMDB

Too many silent mutants in this film. I was particularly looking forward to hearing something from Bishop (Omar Sy).  With barely an introduction to many of the mutants, you’d have to be a real fanboy or fangirl to know who they are. The film is set across two time periods, with many of the characters seen in the films current time for the X-Men (the future), and most of the best action happening in the past.

It was fabulous when Quicksilver arrived on screen, and the film entered into some great slow motion scenes. The epic battles scenes seemed a little subdued.  It’s still very watchable, and there is enough action to keep you entertained, plus Raven/Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence) is great to watch. I still came away feeling like it needed a little something more.  Rated: 4 –  ✩ ✮ ✯ ✰
